Millrace Cottage is a beautiful, one bedroom holiday cottage in the village of Hinchliffe Mill, just 1 mile away from the busy centre of Holmfirth. The cottage sits on the beautiful River Holme directly opposite the original millpond and stone stepped outfall. The balcony over the river gives you a great opportunity to sit quietly and watch the local wildlife which include kingfishers and brown trout.

Within easy walking distance you can find the village store, local pubs, tearooms and The Vineyard. Renowned for it’s rich heritage and breath-taking scenery, Holmfirth is a popular holiday location and perfect for anyone looking for an idyllic getaway, peaceful break or for those just wanting to enjoy the countryside from their doorstep.

At Millrace Cottage we have tried to create a haven for couples to escape their busy lives so that when the front door is shut they can relax in comfort and peace. The bedroom has a handmade, king size four poster bed, the living area has period furniture, a great 1930's style sofa, a log burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a large bath, shower and guests can use the thick, cotton dressing gowns. All towels and bed linen are, of course, provided.
